Each row represents the participation of a high school in the cyber challenge Passe ton hack dabord, with associated information (number of students and groups registered, gender distribution). Source of data: Grist. Organized by the Commandement de la cyberdéfense (COMCYBER) and the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, Passe Ton Hack d’Abord is aimed at all high school students as well as BTS and preparatory class students. Over three weeks, students, divided into teams of 2 to 6, will complete about fifteen cybersecurity challenges. Their mission? To take the place of a French cyber intervention group (GIC) to analyze a cyberattack carried out against an oil station in an allied country. To accomplish this mission, teams will have to overcome several challenges such as: detecting enemy cyber attacks, containing them, recovering computer data, decrypting documents... On a specially designed immersive platform, the various challenges will present concrete cases of cyberattacks in the military domain. Participating students are invited to step into the shoes of a cyber fighter. Completing each challenge will allow them to earn additional points to climb the rankings. This first approach to cybersecurity is an opportunity for students to spark potential vocations to pursue studies and a career in the field of cyber defense.
