PacBio Iso-seq transcriptome assembly for novel isoform detection in Rattus norvegicus liver and brain for PhenoGen

The rat (Rattus Norvegicus) transcriptome is currently underannotated compared to mammals with comparable numbers of protein-coding genes. To improve Rattus Norvegicus' isoform annotation we have utilitzed gtfSymbiosis to assemble and compare PacBio Iso-seq datasets from liver (SHR/OlaIpcv and BN-Lx/Cub) and from brain (F344/Stm and LE/Stm). The four inbred rat strains included in this data set are progenitor strains for the two recombinant inbred panels included in the Hybrid Rat Diversity Panel (HRDP).
