Transcriptome profiling of the ventral pallidum reveals a role for pallido-thalamic neurons in cocaine reward

Using RNAseq, we evaluated transcriptomic changes in the ventral pallidum (VP) of mice 24h following 10 days of cocaine self-administration. C57BL/6 mice self-administered cocaine (0.5mg/kg/infusion) or saline for 10 consecutive days. Twenty-four hours following the last session, fresh ventral pallidum has been collected. RNA has been extracted to perform RNA sequencing.
