Methane performance profiles for the EU Regulation on methane emissions reduction

MPPs (Methane performance profiles) will provide information on methane emissions and a data quality assessment on that data, on the efforts undertaken to monitor, report and reduce methane emissions, as well as on super-emitting events. MPPs will draw upon a wide range of current and emerging reporting mechanisms including the MTD but also the UNFCCC national inventory submissions, company-level reporting via the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0, and the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) Methane Alert Response System (MARS), complemented by other information sources.
