Ford Campus Vision and Lidar Data Set
Ford Campus Vision and LiDAR Dataset is a dataset collected by an autonomous ground vehicle test platform based on a modified Ford F-250 pickup truck. The vehicle is equipped with professional (Applanix POS LV) and consumer-grade (Xsens MTI-G) inertial measurement units (IMU), a Velodyne 3D LiDAR scanner, two push-broom forward-looking Riegl LiDARs, and a Point Grey Ladybug3 omnidirectional camera system. This dataset contains temporally recorded data from these sensors mounted on the vehicle, which was collected while driving on the Ford Research Campus and downtown Dearborn, Michigan, between November and December 2009. The vehicle path trajectories in this dataset contain several loop closures of varying scales, which should be useful for testing various state-of-the-art computer vision and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithms.
