3D data of specimen MNHN.F.R50931
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the 3D data of specimen MNHN.F.R50931 from the paper Synchrotron X-ray tomography sheds light on the phylogenetic affinities of the enigmatic thylacocephalans with Pancrustacea. This includes: Original tomographic datasets (MNHN_F_R50931_bis_0_pag.raw) of the specimen. Phase-contrast synchrotron X-ray microtomography was performed at the PSICHÉ beamline of the SOLEIL synchrotron (Saint-Aubin, France). Each specimen was scanned with a voxel size of 11.139 µm. The info file (MNHN_F_R50931_bis_0_pag.raw.info) contains the information concerning the dimension of the voxels. The segmentation files (mimics files). Segmentation was performed using Materialise Mimics innovation suite 24.0 (research edition). The original tomographic file was subdivided into three smaller subsets to keep the original resolution for segmentation, due to limited computational power. Segmentation was mostly achieved through manual segmentation of selected slices and interpolation between these slices. When possible, semi-automatic segmentation tools were used, in particular thresholding associated with region grow function to separate objects of similar attenuation. The triangle-mesh models of the specimen (STL files) resulting from the segmentation and the 3D rendering. Cleaning (remove isolated pieces, remove duplicated faces functions), reorientation (re-orient all face coherently function) and remeshing filters (repair non Manifold edges, close holes and quadric edge collapse decimation functions with preserve normal and topology checked) were applied.
