Normal alkane and polycyclic hydrocarbon concentrations, and diagnostic biomarker analyses for sediment samples collected based on changes in PolSAR backscatter from 2010 to 2011 in Barataria Bay

Analytical results of 29 sediment samples collected by USGS-NWRC in 2011. Sample locations were chosen and sampled by USGS-NWRC based on changes in PolSAR backscatter mechanisms for which they developed a classification scheme for in their previous research. Samples were analyzed for a targeted list of petrogenic compounds to verify their classification scheme, and were oil source-fingerprinting to verify MC252 oil in marshes beyond the oiled shorelines.
