2 Photopaintings Passing Places I'll never know

The exhibition was part of the Festival of Drawing at RMIT between RMIT and University of the Arts London The exhibition was widely discussed on web, in press and through exhibtion. it builds research and cultural discourse between Australian and UK Artists particularly concerned with expanding the definition of drawing and the expansion of media associated with i. The work 'Passing Places I'll never know' builds upon my ongoing research into mirroring memory the present and duration via photography and painting. It developed new knowledge through the production of new works that expoited colour and image combining photography with painted drawing to engage the viewer in consideriation of the multiple time structures in the work. Reflective painted zones act as a mirror to heighten the awareness of looking in time and how this affects our understanding of being in the world.本次展览是皇家墨尔本理工大学（RMIT）“绘画艺术节”的组成部分，由皇家墨尔本理工大学与伦敦艺术大学（University of the Arts London）联合举办。本次展览在网络、媒体及展览相关渠道中获得广泛讨论。该项目搭建起澳大利亚与英国艺术家之间的研究与文化对话桥梁，二者均致力于拓展绘画的定义及其关联媒介的范畴。 作品《Passing Places I'll never know》（我从未知晓的途经之地）基于笔者持续开展的研究，该研究通过摄影与绘画手法，探索记忆、当下与时长的镜像呈现关系。该作品通过全新创作产出了新的研究认知：创作者将摄影与手绘绘画相结合，善用色彩与图像，引导观者思考作品中的多重时间结构内涵。带有反射效果的手绘区域如同镜面一般，强化观者对“即时观看”的感知，以及这种观看方式如何影响我们对自身在世存在的认知。
