Differences in VDAC protein expression and programmed cell death in stored recalcitrant and orthodox seeds of two Acer species

This dataset contains raw measurements from bioenergetic and molecular analyses of embryos of Norway maple (Acer platanoides, APL) and sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus, APS) in fresh seeds and after one year of storage. The dataset includes:qPCR data – raw Ct values for VDAC1–VDAC4 isoforms and the reference gene EF1α, including technical replicates.OCR (oxygen consumption rate) – raw values (pmol O₂/min) measured using the Seahorse XFp Analyzer.ECAR (extracellular acidification rate) – raw values (mpH/min) measured using the Seahorse XFp Analyzer.ATP and ADP measurements – raw luminescence values (relative light units, RLU) used to calculate ADP/ATP ratios.
