Number notation effect on Chinese to English sight translation: an eye-tracking study

We conducted an eye-tracking study and examined the influence of number notations on the process and product of trainee interpreters in Chinese to English sight translation, with numbers presented in Arabic digits and Chinese characters respectively. Additionally, we looked into the association between trainee interpreters’ reading effort and sight translation quality.本研究开展了一项眼动追踪研究（Eye-tracking Study），探讨数字符号对实习口译员汉译英视译（Sight Translation）过程与产出的影响，实验中数字分别以阿拉伯数字（Arabic Digits）和汉字形式呈现。此外，本研究还考察了实习口译员的阅读投入与视译质量之间的关联。
