Raw Spirometry Dataset: Inspiratory and Expiratory

The following dataset includes raw spirometry data obtained on healthy adults (n = 129; 18-40 years old) at two different laboratory visits. <br> The dataset is comprised of 2,287,213 observations (1,055,236 observations after removing rows labeled as ‘NaN’ to indicate ‘not a number’) and 6 variable columns where each observation is unique to a given subject, visit, trial and pair of time series measurement values for flow and volume. The dataset is provided in long format but can be easily pivoted to wide format if that is desired. This is the reasoning for including NaN rows to pad each trial to match the same length of the longest subject’s trial; some software may be easier to pivot the dataset with this padding included while others may prefer to strip these NaN rows. <br> The second file (Timezero File.xlsx) is a resource for the trials and their corresponding <em>timezero offset</em> value, which indicates at what point the spirometer maneuver begins. The value for timezero offset is the amount of time between the beginning of data collection and the first, full exhalation that is considered in spirometry.
