Building programme: Annual Report and Annual Statistics

Since 2010, the building program motivates owners to make a concrete contribution to energy efficiency and climate protection with the energy refurbishment of their property. Until the end of 2016, the programme consisted of a single part A throughout Switzerland (energy refurbishment of the building envelope) and a cantonally different part B (use of renewable energies, waste heat utilisation and optimisation of building technology). After six years of operation, the building program has paid out a total of around 1.184 billion Swiss francs in funding. This means that a total of around 18‘6 million tonnes of CO2 can be avoided over the lifetime of the subsidised measures, or around 93’724 gigawatt hours of energy can be saved.
