MM-SafetyBench is a comprehensive dataset created by institutions including the Shanghai AI Laboratory, aiming to evaluate the safety of Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs). This dataset comprises 5,040 text-image pairs across 13 distinct scenarios, designed to detect the safety performance of MLLMs when confronted with image manipulation. The construction of this dataset involves four core steps: question generation, unsafe keyword extraction, query-to-image conversion, and question paraphrasing, which ensures the diversity and practicality of the dataset. This dataset is primarily used to evaluate the responses of MLLMs when handling malicious queries, thereby enhancing the safety and robustness of the models.
