Tyrosinases are metalloproteins that metabolise tyrosine and intermediate tyrosine substrates by means of redox reactions to produce melanin. We aim at solving the crystal structure of human tyrosinase at atomic resolution by X-ray anomalous diffraction of protein crystals.
