Walker Branch Watershed: Hourly, Daily, and Annual Precipitation

This data set reports hourly, daily, and annual precipitation in Walker Branch Watershed (WBW). The long-term Walker Branch Hydrology Monitoring project was intended to document changes in the water balance (precipitation inputs, stream discharge outputs) for the WBW over time. This data set contains three data files of precipitation amount for hourly, monthly, and annual intervals for the years 1969 through 2012. Five rain gauges were used from 1969-1979, and two rain gauges were used from 1980-2012. WBW is a temperate forest watershed on the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge Reservation in east Tennessee, USA, and has been the site of long-term environmental research since the 1960s.本数据集提供了沃克分支流域（Walker Branch Watershed, WBW）的逐小时、逐日及逐年降水数据。长期沃克分支水文监测项目旨在记录WBW随时间推移的水量平衡（包括降水输入、河道径流输出）变化情况。本数据集包含1969年至2012年间，对应逐小时、逐月及逐年时间尺度的3个降水总量数据文件。1969年至1979年期间共使用5台雨量计，1980年至2012年期间则改用2台雨量计。沃克分支流域是位于美国田纳西州东部美国能源部橡树岭保护区内的温带森林流域，自20世纪60年代起便长期作为环境研究的定点观测场地。
