Seasonal soil moisture measurements from a Mobile Instrumented System Platform (MISP) grid, Barrow, Alaska, 2016

Seasonal soil moisture measurements were collected during the 2016 growing season at each Mobile Instrumented System Platform (MISP) grid meter in Utqiaġvik (formerly Barrow), Alaska. At each meter one soil moisture measurement was acquired, the date, start and end times, and the people present were also recorded. Soil moisture measurements were taken on the north side of the grid in order to reduce disturbance of vegetation. These measurements are part of the Arctic Observing Network (AON) - International Tundra Experiment (ITEX) initiative and help to document seasonal changes in surface moisture and structure at high spatial scales.2016年生长季期间，研究团队在阿拉斯加州乌特恰维克（Utqiagvik，旧称巴罗）的每一个移动仪器系统平台（Mobile Instrumented System Platform，MISP）网格测点上采集了季节性土壤湿度数据。每个测点均完成单次土壤湿度测量，并同步记录了测量日期、测量起止时刻以及在场人员信息。为降低对植被的干扰，所有土壤湿度测量均在网格北侧开展。本批测量数据隶属于北极观测网（Arctic Observing Network，AON）-国际冻原实验（International Tundra Experiment，ITEX）项目，旨在记录高空间尺度下地表湿度与地表结构的季节性变化。
