Pelagic eukaryote microbial diversity in Amundsen Gulf, from surface to bottom. Microbial diversity in Amundsen Gulf (Eukaryotes)

Amundsen Gulf is one of the Arctic area that had been studied in the past years. It was the location of an overwintering scientific mission in 2003-2004 and since than it is a regular sampling site. A partial vertical profile (surface, subsurface chlorophyll a maximum and bottom) was performed to assess protist diversity using high throughput amplicon sequencing of the V4 region of 18S rRNA and the 18S rRNA gene.
