IPv4 Addressing and VLSM Subnetting

Unlike fixed-length subnetting, VLSM allows the allocation of subnet masks of different sizes based on specific host requirements. Students will work with a constrained IPv4 address block and subdivide it to match departmental needs, minimizing wasted addresses. The practice emphasizes analytical skills, hierarchical design, and practical implementation using Cisco Packet Tracer or GNS3.

与固定长度子网划分不同，可变长子网掩码（VLSM）可依据具体主机需求分配不同规格的子网掩码。学员将基于受限IPv4地址块开展子网划分工作，以匹配各部门的网络需求，最大限度减少地址资源浪费。该实训环节着重培养学员的分析能力、分层设计能力，并支持学员使用思科数据包追踪器（Cisco Packet Tracer）或GNS3完成实操部署。
