Karst District Limits M1: 50,000

The map of boundaries of Lithuanian military regions M 1:50 000 shows the boundaries of the spread of the karst and karst focal process within the territory of Lithuania. The military process in Lithuania is related to the dissolving and removal of plaster. During this process, emptiness forms in the depths of the earth, and surface military forms such as pits, dents, collapses, etc. can form on the surface. The map was drawn up by analysing and identifying the prevalence of karst terrain forms and taking into account available geological information (presence of hanging rocks, gypsum stars, gypsum rock streets, etc.).
