FISCAL SUSTAINABILITY AND FISCAL FATIGUE: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE FROM LESOTHO

The data was used for a study that assessed fiscal policy sustainability and fiscal fatigue in Lesotho. Mainly, the study aims to investigate how primary fiscal balance responds to the rising debt-to-GDP ratio. Additionally, the study also seeks to examine the extent of Lesotho's fiscal fatigue. The study employs annual time series data over 1988-2020 to estimate fiscal reaction function using the ARDL co-integrating technique to capture the response of primary balance to debt ratio.本数据集用于一项针对莱索托财政政策可持续性与财政疲劳展开的研究。该研究的核心目标为探究财政基本余额对不断攀升的债务与GDP比率的响应机制；此外，研究还旨在测算莱索托财政疲劳的程度。本次研究采用1988年至2020年的年度时间序列数据，运用自回归分布滞后（ARDL）协整技术估计财政反应函数，以此捕捉财政基本余额对债务比率的响应情况。
