All or part of their tissues (aerial or underground) can be used for medicinal purposes or as raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry. This category also covers plant resources that serve as nutritional supplements, certain recreational consumables, seasonings, pigment additives, as well as raw materials for pesticides and veterinary pharmaceuticals.
