Socioeconomic Macroregions of China

The regional system analysis of 20th-century China revealed nine macroregional economies/societies, excluding Inner Asian territories. The analysis covers the urban and the associated local and regional system hierarchies of these macroregions during the 1990-2000 period. The Socioeconomic Macroregions available here are snapshots of the regional systems (which change over time depending on variable inputs). The GIS Shapefiles provided here are divided into two layers, (1) for the Main Macroregions [SMR], (2) for the 33 Subregions [SMR_SubR]. (see also, the Physiographic Macroregions)针对20世纪中国开展的区域系统分析显示，若排除内亚领地范畴，可界定出九大宏观区域经济体与社会系统。本次分析覆盖了1990—2000年期间，上述宏观区域的城镇体系及其关联的地方与区域系统层级结构。本数据集提供的社会经济宏观区域（Socioeconomic Macroregions）为该区域系统的静态快照——区域系统会随可变输入参数随时间动态演化。本次提供的GIS形状文件（GIS Shapefiles）分为两个图层：① 核心宏观区域图层（Main Macroregions, SMR）；② 33个次级区域图层（SMR_SubR）。亦可参考地貌宏观区域（Physiographic Macroregions）。
