Aspen Forest Stem Map and Tree Census at the University of Michigan Biological Station, Pellston, MI 1974-2018

In 1974, a one hectare plot was established at the University of Michigan Biological Station to further understand successional trajectories of birch and aspen forests in northern Michigan. Trees with a DBH greater than 5 cm were inventoried and later, the location of the tree within the plot was documented by the UMBS resident biologist.
