The Mochikoshi Tailings Dam simulation is divided into three phases: the FEM Phase, the Transfer Phase, and the MPM phase. The model for the FEM Phase is an OpenSees model which captures the seismic response of the tailings dam during an earthquake. The Transfer Phase is a script that converts the FEM model at a given time into an MPM model. The MPM Phase is the analysis of the MPM model to capture the runout of the liquefaction induced tailings dam failure. One FEM analysis was performed but several MPM analyses were performed considering different transfer times from FEM and different strength characterizations.
该Mochikoshi尾矿坝模拟共分为三个阶段:有限元法(Finite Element Method, FEM)阶段、转换阶段以及物质点法(Material Point Method, MPM)阶段。有限元法阶段所采用的模型为OpenSees模型,可捕捉地震作用下尾矿坝的地震响应。转换阶段为一段脚本程序,可将指定时刻的有限元模型转换为物质点法模型。物质点法阶段用于对物质点法模型开展分析,以捕捉因液化引发的尾矿坝溃决流动蔓延过程。本次模拟仅完成一次有限元分析,但针对不同的有限元模型转换时刻与强度特征参数组合,开展了多组物质点法分析。
