<b>Microstructure and Properties of Ti-6Al-4V/Ni-Ti Heterogeneous Structure Materials with Cu-Ni Interlayer via Multi-Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing</b>
收藏资源简介:
This study employs Multi-Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (M-WAAM) to fabricate Ti-6Al-4V/Ni-Ti heterogeneous structure materials. The results show that the Cu-Ni interlayer effectively suppresses the formation of brittle Ti-Ni intermetallic compounds and improves interfacial bonding strength by forming Ti-Cu and Ti-Ni-Cu composite phases. The mutual diffusion and atomic solid solution of Cu and Ni within the interlayer region result in a transition structure comprising phases such as Ti₂(Ni, Cu) and Ti(Ni, Cu), enhancing interfacial strength and overall plasticity. Mechanical property tests reveal a significant increase in microhardness within the interlayer region, reaching ~ 570 HV0.2. The tensile strength of the material is measured at 279.9 ± 15 MPa, with a strain of 5.6 % ± 2 %. The introduction of the Cu-Ni interlayer offers an effective solution for designing heterogeneous structure materials, presenting significant potential for applications in manufacturing large-scale heterogeneous components.
