Avifauna National Park Hohe Tauern Tirol — Eastern part

As part of the “Avifauna” project, a stock survey of chicken birds, owls and spruce was carried out in the Tyrolean part of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Due to the size of the protected area, potential habitats were modelled with subsequent verification of the calculated occurrences in the terrain (on 20 of the areas). Due to the effort, the project was divided into subprojects with independent final reports. This was followed by a pilot club developed in 2005 (Hafner, Senitza).
