Morrissey Creek (MOR002)

Water samples and temperature readings are taken at Morrissey Creek (MOR002) in the upstream portion of this stream along the Morrissey Forest Road as part of Elk River Alliance's Community-based Water Monitoring program (CBWM) and Elk River Alliance's Hydrometric program. The CBWM program assesses aquatic habitat health at selected tributaries of the Elk River to fill in gaps in currently available watershed data and make these data accessible to the broader community. In 2020, ERA's CBWM program transitioned into a fully CABIN (Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network) based program, with macroinvertebrate sampling occurring annually during low-flow conditions.作为麋鹿河联盟(Elk River Alliance, ERA)社区水质监测项目(Community-based Water Monitoring Program, CBWM)与水文监测项目的组成部分，科研人员沿莫里斯森林公路，在莫里斯溪(Morrissey Creek, MOR002)的上游河段采集水样与温度监测数据。CBWM项目针对麋鹿河选定支流的水生栖息地健康状况开展评估，旨在填补当前流域数据的缺口，并将相关数据集向更广泛的社会群体开放共享。2020年，麋鹿河联盟的CBWM项目全面转型为完全依托加拿大水生生物监测网络(Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network, CABIN)的标准化项目，每年在枯水期开展大型底栖无脊椎动物采样工作。
