This study contains two scRNA-seq datasets that were generated using Smart-seq2 and 10x Genomics 3' respectively. The Smart-seq2 dataset contains knockout mutant P. berghei parasites and matched wild-type controls. Knockout genes were selected using the results from a genome-scale reverse genetic screen to identify candidate genes involved in sex determination and/or sex ratio decisions. The 10x Genomics 3' v2 chemistry dataset contains wild-type P. berghei single cells that cover all blood-stage cell types, including developing gametocytes. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
