FWS HQ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Funding through the National Fish Passage Program View

<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN STYLE="font-size:16pt">The National Fish Passage Program (NFPP) works with local communities on a voluntary basis to restore rivers and conserve our nation’s aquatic resources by removing or bypassing in-stream barriers. The program benefits both fish and people by removing obsolete and dangerous dams, permanently eliminating public safety hazards, and by restoring water quality, recreation opportunities, and river ecosystems. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), signed into law in November 2021, authorized an additional $40 million a year for the next five years for the NFPP. This geospatial data set, produced by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) in collaboration with partners, depicts NFPP projects funded under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). Project points contain project information compiled by partners receiving NFPP BIL funding. Project data points include project specific information such as geographic location, funding amount, project descriptions, partner information, and links to project websites. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Note: Multiple Barrier Projects are projects that include more than one barrier funded under one project. Some Multiple Barrier Projects have specified data to the scale of the individual barriers, others have not specified data beyond the project scale.
