Technical Number Chart scale 1:2000 Sicilian Region - CART2000

In 2003, the Department of Urban Planning of the Regional Department of the Territory and Environment under Measure 5.05 of the Regional Operational Programme for Sicily 2000-2006 launched a digital mapping project at a scale of 1:2000 in GIS format for the urban centres of the entire Region known as CART2000. The project was carried out through 4 cartographic lots called 1-2-3-4 and according to specific tender specifications.The 1:2000 numerical technical map, represented in Gauss’ projection, is included in the regional technical map at a scale of 1:10.000. Therefore, each sheet at a scale of 1:2000 will be equal to the 25th part of the CTR section.Planimetric tolerances:- The maximum permissible error (tolerance) in the planimetric position of clearly identifiable points on the map with respect to the same points of the ground, the position of which has been determined with sufficiently precise measurements, is: 0.80 m. - The maximum error (tolerance td) that can affect the measurement of the distance D between two well-identified points, deduced from the map, highlighted with high-precision measurements, is: td (0,60 + D/1000 ) m., if it is D 600 m., td 1,20 m. if it is D > 600 m. Altitude tolerance- The maximum error (tolerance) th from which the proportion of an isolated point, shown on the map, highlighted on the basis of high-precision measurements, may be affected is: th = m.0,60. The tolerances for gradients are:tq 0,60m. +D/1000 m. for D 300 m.tq 0,90m. for D > 300 m.The maximum error (tolerance) tcl from which the altitude of a point belonging to a level curve may be affected is: tcl m. 0,90 For the level curves drawn in those parts of the ground covered by dense perennial vegetation, the maximum error that may be affected by the share of a point belonging to it is: th = half of the average vegetation height.Each sheet on a scale of 1:2000 shall bear a number and a name. The number shall be of the type XXXYYZZ in which the first three digits designate the sheet in a scale of 1:50,000, the fourth and fifth digits designate the section of CTR ( 01 to 16 ), the sixth and seventh digits designate the sheet 1:2000. The name will normally be that of the chief town with subtitles indicating the area included in the relief (neighborhood, hamlet, inhabited nucleus, etc.).
