Parkes observations for project P1022 semester 2019OCTS_10

We propose observations with the ultra-wide-bandwidth, low frequency receiver (UWL) installed at the Parkes telescope to carry out the first well-calibrated coherent de-dispersed search for pulsars in 47 Tucanae. The proposed observation could result in new pulsars and also provide the firstly detailed study of the calibration and polarisation properties for previously known pulsars.本研究提议利用安装于帕克斯望远镜（Parkes Telescope）的超宽带宽低频接收机（UWL），开展针对杜鹃座47的首次经过良好校准的相干去色散脉冲星搜索。本次拟开展的观测不仅有望发现新的脉冲星，还将首次对已知脉冲星的校准特性与偏振特性展开详尽研究。
