Unemployment (WMS Service)

Jobseekers are unemployed if they - not in employment or working less than 15 hours per week, - seek employment subject to compulsory insurance and are thereby available to the mediation efforts; and - have registered as unemployed with an employment agency, the job centre or the municipality. Participants in active labour market policies are not considered unemployed. In addition, persons who: - are in employment for more than a limited period of time (at least 15 hours per week), - not allowed or able to work, - limit their availability, - have reached the age of 65, - have not registered with the relevant employment agency, job centre or municipality for more than three months as a non-beneficiary, - are ill incapacitated for work, - are pupils, students and school leavers who are only looking for a training place and - foreigners and their family members who are subject to a work permit, as well as asylum seekers without benefits, if the labour market is closed to them.
