Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) data from reef fish collected at natural reefs sites in the northern Gulf of Mexico from 2015-08-30 to 2017-11-02

This dataset contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) data from reef fish collected at natural reefs sites in the northern Gulf of Mexico. The samples were collected on multiple vessels (Backdown II, Intimidator, and Total Package) from 2015-08-30 to 2017-11-02. Liver samples extracted from reef fishes were frozen in liquid nitrogen at sea, then kept frozen in a -80 °C freezer. Liver samples were transferred to the University of South Florida where they were analyzed with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for PAHs.本数据集包含采集自墨西哥湾北部自然礁体位点的礁栖鱼类的多环芳烃（polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, PAH）相关数据。样本采集工作于2015年8月30日至2017年11月2日期间开展，由Backdown II号、Intimidator号与Total Package号三艘作业船完成。从礁栖鱼类体内提取的肝脏样本在海上采用液氮冷冻保存，随后转移至-80℃超低温冰箱中冷冻留存。上述肝脏样本被运送至南佛罗里达大学，采用气相色谱-质谱联用法（gas chromatography-mass spectrometry）对其中的多环芳烃进行检测分析。
