The covered natural disasters include droughts, floods, landslides and debris flows, wind and hail disasters, low-temperature freezes and snow disasters, among others. Provinces and municipalities including Shanghai, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Beijing and Zhejiang have the lowest direct economic loss rates of crops resulting from natural disasters, while provinces and autonomous regions such as Gansu, Qinghai, Yunnan, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have the highest corresponding loss rates.
