Rete Integrata Nazionale GPS (RING)

The Rete Integrata Nazionale GNSS (RING) network consists of more than 250 continuous high-quality geodetic real-time transmitting stations, deployed all over Italy. This network was developed with the aim of studying the strain accumulation on the active seismogenic faults located along with the Eurasia-Africa plate boundary and to capture the co-seismic and post-seismic deformation in case of strong (Mw>5.5) events in Italy. The RING data and metadata are stored in a database and are freely available since 01-01-2001 to present. The RING instrumentation is currently undergoing to significant upgrade towards advanced full-GNSS receivers and antennas.GNSS国家集成网络（Rete Integrata Nazionale GNSS，简称RING）由部署在意大利全境的250余台连续运行的高质量大地测量实时传输站构成。该网络的建设目标为研究欧亚-非洲板块边界沿线活动发震断层的应变积累过程，并捕捉意大利境内矩震级（Mw）大于5.5的强震发生时的同震与震后形变。RING的观测数据与元数据均存储于数据库中，自2001年1月1日起对公众免费开放至今。目前，RING的观测仪器正开展重大升级工作，将换装为先进的全GNSS接收机与天线。
