POD! Fish- DFG Striped Bass Population estimates and stocking data

Abundance estimates by age-class and sex have are made using tag and recapture methods. Striped bass are tagged on the San Joaquin River and Sacramento River and released on their spring spawning migrations. Each tagged fish is measured, sexed and aged. A year-round creel census is conducted to learn the tagged to untagged ratio and to determine the size and age composition of catch. Tag returns (corrected for non-response using reward tags) are used to estimate annual harvest rates, mortality rates and migrations of striped bass.本研究采用标记重捕法（tag and recapture methods）开展按年龄组与性别划分的种群丰度评估。条纹鲈（Striped bass）在圣华金河（San Joaquin River）与萨克拉门托河（Sacramento River）完成标记，并于春季产卵洄游期间放流。对每尾标记个体均进行体长测量、性别鉴定与年龄鉴定。全年开展垂钓渔获普查，以获取标记个体与未标记个体的比例，并确定渔获的体长与年龄组成。利用经奖励标记校正无应答偏差后的标记回收数据，可估算条纹鲈的年捕捞率、死亡率与洄游情况。
