Transcriptomic landscape of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.) skin

We have used the 10x Visium Spatial Transcriptomics protocol to process skin tissue from four different body positions of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.). Our analysis revealed detection of more than 80.000 transcripts and close to 30.000 genes for each sample, making this the most comprehensive spatial gene atlas of skin available for a non-model species.
