Its construction commenced in 1958 and was completed in December 1965. Its geographic coordinates range from 40°02′26″N to 40°06′14″N, and 124°03′55″E to 124°10′27″E. The dam is located at 40°02′45″N, 124°09′39″E. The reservoir has a water area of only 15.29 km² (data from 2017). This dataset was developed based on Google Earth remote sensing satellite imagery and related maps. It is stored in .kmz and shp formats, consisting of 15 individual files with a total size of 302 KB (compressed into 2 files with a total size of 121 KB).
