Palaeoclimate Records - South East Australia - Tree Rings

Palaeoclimate records draw on climate information which is extracted and analysed from the natural environment. The SEARCH (South East Australia Recent Climate History) project draws on palaeoclimatic data from between 0 AD and 2011, from -Tree Rings -Coral -Ice Cores -Speleothems This dataset contains data on tree rings, which are seasonal growth increments in tree trunks. The growth of these rings depends on the climate of each season. The data covers variation in the width, density and/or chemical composition of the annual growth rings, which are affected by temperature and rainfall.
