OPENPROS is a large-scale dataset developed specifically for limited-view prostate ultrasound computed tomography (USCT). The dataset contains over 280,000 paired 2D speed of sound (SOS) phantoms and corresponding full-waveform ultrasound data. These data are generated from precise 3D digital prostate models based on real clinical MRI/CT scans and in vitro ultrasound measurements, and annotated by medical experts. The dataset is simulated under clinically relevant configurations using advanced finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) and Runge-Kutta acoustic solvers. OPENPROS aims to facilitate the development of advanced machine learning algorithms to narrow the performance gap and produce clinically usable high-resolution and high-precision prostate ultrasound images.
