In vivo restoration of aged bone marrow mononuclear cells by micrRNA: effect on cellular senesence Treatment groups were (1) no microRNA, (2) microRNA-619 (miR-619), (3) a combination of microRNAs-619, -1303, 4497 (miR-combo), or (4) a control microRNA expected to have no effect (control RNA) Female NSG mice were humanized (huNSG) with mobilized bone marrow mononuclear cells from aged donors. Prior to humanization, cells were transfectedw ith specific microRNAs to partially reprogram the hematopoietic cells towards a young phenotype.
