Targeted re-sequencing of NLRs in tetraploid wheat

NLR genes represent one of the major classes of diverse plant immune receptors. Our study aims to characterize natural biodiversity of NLRs in tetraploid wheats, including cultivated species (from elite lines to landraces) as well as wild relatives. We aim to provide a comprehensive resource that will allow understanding of NLR evolution and how they have been affected by polyploidy and domestication. This resource will also inform identification of new disease resistance genes and provide an overview of their allelic diversity and structural variation.
