The goal of this study was to determine how the balance between SFAs and UFAs tightly controlled by SCD, regulates OC cell survival and tumorigenicity. Overall design: 1) SCD was stably knocked down by shRNA in OVCAR-5 cells and cultured in low serum condition for 48 hours. Global effects on the transcriptome were examined by RNA-sequencing between shSCD vs shCtrl (in biological triplicates).
