The Helmet Band Detection Dataset (HBDD) was constructed by institutions including China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), with the goal of addressing the helmet band detection challenge in edge computing scenarios. This dataset focuses on detecting whether a helmet is properly worn, particularly whether the helmet band is securely fastened, to mitigate potential safety hazards in actual industrial settings. The dataset consists of images captured from video surveillance systems, covering helmet wearing situations across different working scenarios. The construction of this dataset involves collecting raw data from real industrial environments and processing it via edge computing devices. Its primary application fields are safety monitoring and industrial inspection, aiming to optimize edge detection models to improve the accuracy and real-time performance of helmet wearing detection.
