The term "academic paper" generally refers to articles that conduct research across various academic fields and document the outcomes of such research, and is often abbreviated as "paper". It serves both as a medium for carrying out academic research to explore academic issues and a tool for disseminating academic research findings for academic exchanges. Publishing academic papers is a crucial activity through which researchers and scholars share their research outcomes and promote academic progress. In today's academic community, paper publication has become one of the fundamental metrics for evaluating the achievements of individual researchers and scholars. On October 24, 2015, the State Council of the People's Republic of China issued the Overall Plan for Coordinating the Development of World-Class Universities and First-Class Disciplines. It stipulates that, in accordance with the Four-pronged Comprehensive Strategy and the decision-making deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, efforts should be made to take upholding Chinese characteristics and striving for world-class standards as the core, take fostering virtue and cultivating talents as the fundamental task, take supporting the innovation-driven development strategy and serving economic and social development as the guidance, and adhere to the basic principles of "taking world-class development as the goal, disciplines as the foundation, performance as the lever, and reform as the driving force", so as to accelerate the construction of a number of world-class universities and first-class disciplines.
