This dataset contains 18,540 short audio clips of Quran recitation, with a total duration of 10.3 hours. Each audio file is 2 seconds long on average. The dataset is designed for research and development in fields such as Quran reciter recognition or any other Quranic studies.
The recitations are performed by 12 renowned Quran reciters:
Mahmoud Al-Hussary
Mishari Alafasy
Mohammed El-Tablawy
Ali Al-Hudhaify
Yassen Al-Jazairi
Abdelbasset Abdessamad
Mohammed Jebril
Saad Al-Ghamidi
Ahmed Al-Ajmi
Maher Al-Mueaqly
AbdulRahman Al-Sudais
Saud Al-Shuraim
The distribution of audio files among the reciters is relatively balanced, with each reciter contributing between 5.8% and 10.8% of the total files. The dataset is suitable for training and evaluating machine learning models for audio classification, reciter recognition, and other related tasks.
