Seismic Assessment of Corroded Reinforced Concrete Structures - An experimental and prediction database

In the lack of guidance on how to assess the residual capacity of corroded reinforced concrete (RC) structures, the study aims to publish a database of experimental results on the seismic performance of corroded RC structures, and the predicted results from the authors study. The database study illustrates the current state of knowledge discussing the effect of corrosion on material properties such as tensile strength, strain, and bond strength, and member properties such as flexure and shear strength, and displacement capacity of corroded RC members. The results of the study are useful for researchers and practising engineers active in the field. The database study will also be beneficial for further developments in numerical modelling and global standards for the seismic assessment of corroded RC structures.
