Abundant and rare bacteria might have different effects on cyanobacteria Raphidiopsis raciborskii. By a dilution-to-distinction approach for Shidou reservoir, there exits a key dilution level for rare species (who disappear first) which will have effects on Raphidiopsis raciborskii. 16S rRNA amplicons were sequenced to analyze the bacterial community changes.
