This dataset enables safety evaluation of friction linings' friction coefficients, providing reference and technical support for government supervision and consumer purchasing decisions. 1. Data Collection: Collect information including sample name, braking resistance or friction force, normal pressure, and other related items. 2. Friction Coefficient Testing of Friction Linings: Obtain friction coefficient data of target friction linings through standardized testing procedures. 3. Data Processing: Screen out problematic test results related to the friction coefficients of friction linings for safety assessment. The calculation formula is μ = F / N, where μ represents the friction coefficient, F represents braking resistance or friction force, and N represents normal pressure. A larger friction coefficient does not equate to better performance: the qualified range is 0.3–0.6, and samples outside this range are deemed unqualified. The problem detection rate of friction coefficients for friction linings is calculated as: (number of problematic friction coefficient test results) divided by (total number of friction coefficient tests conducted on friction linings). 4.
