The combination of rootstock and scion regulates diversity and composition of microbial communities associated with grafted grapevine root system

We investigated at a field scale the bacterial and fungal communities associated with the root system (rhizosphere and root tissue) and related bulk soil of seven grapevine rootstock/scion combinations cultivated across ten vineyards in Tuscany (Italy) to evaluate how the rootstock, scion, and the combination of the two contribute towards shaping microbial diversity.
